What a perfect day to hit up the Central Park Zoo - The boys really loved the penguins. We showed up at feeding time - do this if you can. The penguins came right up to the glass and were playing with the kids. I learned that bats are NOT toddler friendly. Another minor meltdown was averted thanks to ice cream.
The zoo itself is tiny. Don't expect to spend all day here. Just a nice little detour with decent, kid-friendly activities and the ubiquitous, overpriced merch.
