Free Magic Every Sunday

Tickets: Free
Description
I am going to try and fit this in before dinner today. A review will surely follow.

Says TimeOut: "Harry Potter costumes aren’t the only thing you can find at this Halloween emporium: A free magic show catering to kids casts its spell every Sunday afternoon. Dumbledore doesn’t make an appearance, but the store’s magician performs a pretty cool disappearing trick." All ages.

When
Sundays 3pm
19 W 21st St.
New York, NY 10010

Toddler Adventure Center - Chelsea Piers.

Price $11

Upside: this playroom is fantastic, never busy and very clean.
Downside: overpriced and I can't bring my coffee in... still very worth it as a treat.

We always have an amazing time when we go here, chatting with other moms and nannies. The ball pit is classic toddler fun! Your first time, you may have trouble finding the entrance - It is waterside, through the main field office.

Ages 6 months to 4 years. There is a special separate area for non-walkers to keep them from being trampled by excited toddlers.

The hours are a little different every day so you'll want to call 212.336.6500, ext. 0 to make sure you don't show up during their down time.

Here's what they have to say for themselves: "The Toddler Adventure Center features one of the finest indoor toddler play areas in the city. The focus is on fun through movement as youngsters crawl, roll, jump, and explore. Children participate with a parent or caretaker in an "open play" environment. State-of-the-art equipment provides your toddler with the perfect environment for exploration, learning, adventure and fun."

Description
You may find it kind of gross, but tots will love spreading manure, tilling soil and planting potatoes outdoors today. In the fall kids can come back and harvest the fruits of their labour. Once the potatoes are planted and they’ve washed up, kids can churn some fresh butter and spread it over freshly baked corn bread, made on-site over an open fire.
